Condecention
Doing what Princess does is fine with us. Now I hope I haven't stuck out my neck! Holland/America DID have a worship service, so I am assuming that Princess does as well. Pops will check and confirm tomorrow. We will report what we learn.
worship service
My personal feeling is that going to the Princess worship service might provide a great opportunity to identify and connect with other believers on the ship. I think it would be neat to make that kind of connection with other travelers.

Family worship
We like the idea of family worship or of going with the Princess. If we do family, are we talking no instruments, just finding a place, etc? I guess our questions are mostly logistical. We understand how some who are leading every week might want to just relax. But we are hit and miss as far as leading/planning goes and don't feel like it would be a burden to us.

Good Morning, All. We we sure do have a gap in this thing. I loved the diet thing...it was SUCH a good idea. I was probably the fist to let it slide. I still have not done anymore about it. Remember to never choose Gran as a role model!!
Wednesday is JUNE!!! Are we getting excited? The other day I sent a note asking if anyone would like to have a time of a family worship setting...our first day out will be at sea. Just pick sometime during the day to do it. However, I can see where you guys who are involved in that on a weekly basis might just want to go with whatever the Princess line offers in the way of a worship service. Personally, I can worship while in the shower, climbing stairs or walking under a tree. So please don't feel that I am pushing to do this. It is just a suggention. Love you ....Gran/Mom/Pat

wow. COOL!
as for me,
I'm back where I started, my running class ended last term so I havebn't been running for like, three weeks. However I have been doing some ab work. But as far as weight goes, not doing so well. I'm being more concious about what I put into my body though, which is good, but not nearly as thorough as Janet as of late.

Yes
Hey David....just read the blog...haven't been here for a month as you can tell! Yes, you're the only one of the eldest grandkids participating. I am on a new thing myself now...w/ Greg. Dad (Pops) doesn't even know he inspired me. We were together over the past weekend and he said he estimates we have 13 weeks till the cruise. I thought....hmmmm....time to get on the stick. I have a friend from church who is a personal trainer. I can't afford to work out with her, but she does welcome people to be accountable to her for weight control w/ no fee. She has guided this one guy at church who has so far lost 100 lbs. over 2 years., and that's w/ him only released to exerice at the gym for the past maybe 4 months I think. Anyway, her BIG deal is that if it goes in your mouth it goes on a food diary sheet, and that slow and steady is the best plan. She goes by the food pyramid that is used by the american heart association, diabetes association, cancer association....you know that food pyramid...and you keep track of serving sizes/portions, etc. She said they can't ALL be wrong! I'm on the 2nd day of a cleansing diet that just helps get the sodium out of your body....2 eggs for breakfast, 1/2 orange for snack, 3-6 oz. of chicken w/ 4 cups of green veggies, 1/2 orange, and the same dinner that you had for lunch, along w/ 80 oz. of water. No sauces or salts, but I did use Mrs. Dash (salt free) on the chicken. I had 2 c. romaine lettuce and 2 c. slightly steamed brocolli and made a salad out of it. That'll be the plan for today and tomorrow as well. So I'm going to keep a food diary and show Becky every Tuesday what I'm eating from now until the cruise and see how it goes. Including yesterday, I've lost about 10 lbs. since the beginning of the year. How are you and your family doing? Janet

Celebrate!
Way to go David! I am so impressed with your initiative and persistence. You may be the one to show us all up! How are you feeling, physically?
Ok, I am back down to where I was before i messed up. Haveing the Flu might have helped some, but I don't recommend it as a method. Definitely have not exercised...i.e. walked. Keep up the good work, gang. We'll get there yet...one way or the other...regardless, inspite of, because of, by the grace of, according to our own desire. Inspite of the fact I cannot find Tofu Crunchies on the grocery shelf, I CAN loose.
Love to all.....Gran
